o serve the electricity infrastructure of Iraq, RS has built a factory in Najaf equipped with mechanical machineries from the likes of DURMA, EUROMAC, and YANGLI. We have manpower of over 300 technicians at the factory who oversee the production lines. We also have well-trained and highly-experienced engineers who have the ability to design new parts/equipment, manufacture and install all products manufactured at the factory, actively contributing to the success of our projects.
The factory is used for the manufacture of:
- Powder coating lines for all electrical enclosures, cabinets and DB boxes, substations.
- KIOSK (electrical substation) of all sizes and dimensions, providing services to government and private sector of Iraq.
- RS production lines for repairing construction of distribution transformers.
- Low Voltage feeder pillars.
- Equipped with meter box manufacturing and assembly lines to produce high quality meter boxes.

RS Al Najaf Factory
has also benefitted from massive investment in machinery and capital assets, automated infrastructure and testing labs. Moulds for the fabrication of the latest electrical infrastructure components were acquired from international partners, and brought back to Al Najaf.
Currently, the factory has its own assembling workshop, coating plant, electric panels’ workshop, thermal coating plant, SMC dough and parts production, HV panel manufacturing area, and programmable machines department.
We have teams who have trained at SIEMENS Power Academy in Frankfurt in Germany, which provided them with the necessary information on products in general, safety, self-assembly and programming. We encourage our employees to develop both their technical and soft skills by providing a wide range of training opportunities, from improving work efficiency in power stations and communications field to PMP project management.
KIOSK Sub-Station
The kiosk compact substation Type Tested, certificated by KEMA is of first class quality, and designed according to lEC 62271 Part 202:
High voltage low-voltage prefabricated substation for continuous satisfactory operation as continuity of supply is of prime consideration. The design allows all necessary precaution for the safety of operation and maintenance personnel. All equipment operate satisfactorily under variation of load , voltage and short circuit or other conditions , which may occur on the system if these variations are within assigned ratings of the apparatus. All the equipment design is to withstand the accidental short circuit.

Ground Mounted Cable Distribution Cabinet (Pillar). The pillar is of first class quality certified and type tested by KEMA in Holland and designed for continuous satisfactory operation as continuity of supply is of prime consideration. The design allows all necessary precaution for the safety of operation and maintenance personnel. The equipment operate satisfactorily under variation of load, voltage and short circuit or other conditions, which may occur on the system. All equipment design is to withstand the accidental short circuit. It has the features of strong complete set, small volume, compact structure etc.and this reduces greatly design workload and costs.

Raban AI Safina has approved Kema certified Meter boxes
- Manufactured in Iraq under standards: IEC60439-4
- The enclosure has IP43 protection and mechanical resistance IK10, GRP body.
- Dimensions: 517x538x230mm
- Our meter boxes can handle humidity up to 95% and temperature from -1 O·C to 60·C
Raban AI Safina Company has technical cooperation and license agreement with SIEMENS; whereby SIEMENS transfers knowhow for the assembly, manufacturing, configuration and testing of specific SIEMENS products. SIEMENS have granted us the rights to manufacture their products in Iraq. SIEMENS provides training programs to Raban AI Safina employees in Germany on an ongoing basis.
We have set up a state-of-the-art infrastructure at our factories, with the machinery and computer hardware and software that assures the equipment we produce meets the same SIEMENS standard of quality Additionally and as required, SIEMENS delegates experienced staff to assist in the manufacturing and testing of the products at our factories in Najaf.
